Transcript:

So, have a general idea about who you’re attracted to and be as honest as you can with yourself and others about that.

It is 2020, I feel like a lot of sexual orientation or what the past and what old school rules there were for sexual orientation are a little bit different now. Obviously there are still really important separations between different orientations for a reason; because of marginalization and all of the things. Violence and all the things right, but also in terms of your personal exploration the lines are a little bit blurred right now which is great as long as you’re being honest with yourself and being true to yourself and being honest with the people that you’re interested in dating and being intimate with.

You can do you can be as open as you want in terms of your exploration, you know there’s certain ways I think a lot of times we grow up in this country and especially it’s like – ‘Oh, you have to be this’ or ‘You know, you’re born this gender so you’re socialized to be this’, ‘You have to be this,’ and if there’s something other than that there’s something wrong with you. We’re no longer in that place. There’s a whole awakening happening with, you know, things that we thought had to be this way because that’s what it’s always been, are different now which is a beautiful thing.

So really take the time to explore that within yourself.

And again it’s really important that you’re honest with potential partners about what you’re exploring or who you are, who you are evolving to be and who you’re attracted to. Just think of how much more happiness will bring it will bring into your life into the people that are choosing to be you, or choosing to be with you after hearing your truth and after really seeing who you truly are there are people who are going to be “Hell yes!” to who you are you know but the first step is being honest with yourself about who you are and who you’re attracted to and being honest with your potential partners about that as well.
