Dating App Profile Tips From An Expert

In this post Dating Expert Erin Tillman ‘Dating Advice Girl’ shares 3 tips for creating a standout dating profile online, or on a dating app.

OK dating app profile tips. We love ’em, we hate them. We hate dating apps. We love dating apps. I don’t know, a lot of us have tried them at this point so here’s 3 quick tips for your dating profile.

#1 Photos

Let’s go! So group photos are fine. Have a couple photos of you in a group, with friends, doing some activity with family, that kind of thing. It’s great, it’s like oh they know people they love people they have friends. Ok, they seem like an interesting choice. Ok, great. Just make sure you have some individual photos of just yourself that are recent. Please post recent photos. No one needs to like be surprised when they see a picture and then they go on a date with you and you look 20 years older than the photo you posted in your app profile, ok. It’s really important you post recent photos, ok. So something of you – if your rock climber post a picture of you rock climbing, if you do something some activity through a couple posts a couple pictures of you doing that activity too, a really great idea, ok.

#2 Keep Your Profile Positive

There’s so much negativity in the world and the thing is your dating app profile is supposed to be selling you. Like as a fun person that this person wants to hang out with, ok. No one wants to hang out with someone who is well with meh and like the world sucks. Yes, in some ways it does at times but you don’t want to portray that you’re taking out profile, ok. Real talk, keep it positive.

#3 What Are Your Non Negotiables

I think it’s really important that you list these things, ok. Don’t harp on them but say if you’re a Christian, and you only want to date Christian people you should probably say something about that. If you’re liberal and only wanna date people who are liberal you probably should say something about that. You’re just going to save yourself time, save the other person’s time, save heartache, all the things, ok. Just be brief about it and gently put those down and put that down too.

So photos: choose wisely, recent photos. Non-negotiables: put those down and be positive, ok. Alright will be back with another day trip soon.
