What are your dating and relationship goals for 2020?

I know that’s a huge question for some of you but it’s really important that you take time, stop and take a moment think about it.

Journal about it and figure out what is it that you actually want and is what you want now what you wanted 10 years ago and vice versa. Is what you wanted back a decade ago is that still the relationship that you even want right now. Be honest with yourself. Be honest about what kind of relationship you want, what the role you want to play in your relationship.

And what is ideal for you, what is your ideal role in a relationship, what kind of partner are you looking for?

Think about what style of relationship you are looking. There are so many questions and so many things we don’t take a moment to think about because we date by default in this society.

When you hit a certain age, you meet someone – you get together with them, you baby with them – and you are with them forever till the end of time and there’s no room left for adjustments or evolution, and changing one’s mind or figuring things out. Or questioning who you thought you were. Now is the time 2020 to make a fresh start. Really get honest with yourself about what you’re looking for, and what’s going to be a good relationship fit for you.

This is really important to decide. What are you waiting for?

Are you living a life and dating and having relationships like your parents did? No disrespect to that because maybe that’s what fits for you, but also I think a lot of us do what we saw. We have relationships like the ones we saw, our that we grew up around but they aren’t necessarily what is going to work for us, or what’s best for us, or what is going to make us happiest.

So that’s your task for 2020 – what do you actually want, what are your dating and relationship goals?

For some of you it’s going to be to have a monogamous relationship, a marriage, those kind of things. For some of you it’s going to be like, you know – I’ve been in relationships my whole young life now I want to be single for a while and I want to date people and just have fun dating, and have like a vibrant intimate life.

Great, whatever you’re choosing is amazing as long as long as it’s consensual and everyone’s on board – I support you. Get to writing. Journal it down. Think about it now let’s brainstorm together – Oh – well let’s do it. I’m with you more dating tips coming soon.
