Match.com has revealed it’s 2013 comprehensive study [read it here] on how men and women date in America. Most of the information isn’t surprising but one important detail it failed to disclose and explore is how often (or little) Americans date.
With the help of online dating, Americans meet more singles than they would on any given day in the real world but how many clicks, winks, pokes or messages actually lead to dates?
With so many singles complaining about how long it’s been since they’ve been on a real date I was anxious to see how long it HAD been.
Unfortunately, the study conducted by match left out that detail.
In my line of work, I encounter several single men and women who are absolutely wonderful people but have a hard time meeting other singles to go out with. It’s not that they don’t want to date but they find meeting potential dates difficult.
Once a meeting doesn’t go well, singles are often discouraged from dating again, regardless of the reasons for a failed date. I find this to be the number 1 reason most single men and women don’t enjoy dating.
