What’s Stopping You From Achieving Your Goals?

Don’t let negative talk; talk you out of your dreams

I was listening to a Sunday sermon by Joel Osteen, and he was sharing the message of how we are fertilized by adversity but it helps us grow stronger. Basically we go through some shit, to get where we’re meant to be. Sometimes we’re discouraged by our past or our struggles and it leads us to let go of our desires. He said, “Don’t let negative talk; talk you out of your dreams.”

I personally struggle with procrastination. I sometimes think I’ll never accomplish my goals because I don’t do the things that I know I should. We know we should exercise, eat right, start on that project or take the first step but we don’t.

We put off doing the right things, why?

We don’t lack the ability to do it and we don’t lack the confidence. We know the steps to take and we have the tools necessary, yet the next stride seems impossible. Are you ready to meet the right person, find love and get back into the dating scene? So what is stopping you?

Low self-esteem is the reason we don’t do the things that we know we should. It’s the reason we don’t take risks or make the big leaps that could catapult our business or help us find “the one”.

Something in our hearts tells us: I can’t. We think, “I’m not good enough.”

How do you push past the doubt and believe in the positive? How do you abandon the ‘What if’s’ and rely on the ‘After I’? Stop thinking what if I fail and plan for after I succeed.

Our self-esteem is our core belief of who we are and what we deserve. Love and success are meant for you even if you never thought you could have it. Even if you’ve been told it’s out of your reach. Even if you’ve never had it before, or had it once but lost it. No matter what fertilizing situations you’ve gone through, it was all meant to get you closer to your goals.

So quit talking yourself out of reaching beyond your comfort zone. We tell ourselves no, to avoid hearing it from someone else. Low self-esteem has held you back long enough. What you are reaching for is waiting for you to take that bold next step.

No one can stop you from having what is meant for you except you.

It’s yours. Just claim it. I hope this was helpful.
